Konso is a cultural landscape in southern Ethiopia. It is known for its terraced hills, stone-walled villages, and unique wooden statues called waka that honor important ancestors. The area reflects a long-standing tradition of sustainable agriculture and is recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

The Omo River in southern Ethiopia is the largest Ethiopian river outside the Nile Basin. Its course is entirely contained within the boundaries of Ethiopia, and it empties into Lake Turkana on the border with Kenya. The river is the principal stream of an endorheic drainage basin, the Turkana Basin.

The Bale Mountains are part of the Ethiopian Highlands. They include Tullu Demtu, the second-highest mountain in Ethiopia (4377 meters), and Mount Batu (4307 meters). The Weyib River, a tributary of the Jubba River, rises in these mountains east of Goba.

Dorze Village is a traditional settlement in southern Ethiopia. It is known for its distinctive beehive-shaped bamboo houses, skilled weaving traditions, and the hospitality of the Dorze people. The village is set in a highland area with scenic views and a strong cultural heritage.
